Why people make World Travel Holdings UK special

When you join a new organisation, you quickly form impressions about what makes it unique. While every business has its own goals, ambitions and ways of working, it's often the people behind them that make the biggest difference.

Since joining World Travel Holdings UK, I've had the opportunity to meet colleagues from across the business and learn more about what makes this such a special place to work. From those conversations, one theme has come through time and time again: it's the people who make the difference

Across every team, I've experienced a genuine willingness to help, collaborate and support one another. Whether it's sharing expertise, stepping in to solve a challenge, or celebrating each other's successes, there's a strong sense of teamwork that runs throughout the organisation. It's a culture built on trust, respect and a shared commitment to delivering our best, both for our customers and for each other.

One example of this commitment was proudly recognising Rebecca Peacock's 18th anniversary with WTH UK. As our longest-serving employee, Rebecca has been a constant presence through many chapters of the business, demonstrating exceptional dedication, professionalism and loyalty. Reaching 18 years is an incredible achievement and a testament to the positive impact she has had on colleagues, customers and the wider business. Celebrating milestones like Rebecca's is a reminder that great workplaces are built by people who care deeply about what they do and the teams around them.

What has also stood out is the clear sense of purpose that people feel here. Colleagues understand how their role contributes to the wider business and are passionate about helping us achieve our goals together. When people are connected to a shared vision, great things happen, and that energy is evident across World Travel Holdings UK.

A particular highlight this week was attending the Best Workplaces in Travel Awards, which celebrates some of the most people-focused organisations in the industry. It was a proud moment to see World Travel Holdings UK shortlisted for a Spotlight Award recognising organisations where colleagues understand their objectives, feel connected to the company's mission and are inspired by a shared sense of purpose. It was wonderful to see that external recognition reflect what so many people across the business have already told me.

The strength of any organisation comes from its people, and it's clear that World Travel Holdings UK succeeds because of the talented, passionate and supportive individuals who make up our teams. The culture that exists today has been shaped by colleagues across the business, and that's something everyone should be proud of.
